No other companion care company offers such a comprehensive training program. Clients can trust that our highly trained caregivers will perform their duties with professionalism and dedication while they help our clients maintain their independence and treat them and their loved ones with the dignity and respect that they deserve. Our caregivers represent some of the finest caregivers in the industry.
Here’s what some of our caregivers are saying about our training programs:
“I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for such a great learning tools. I was a CNA working for several nursing homes, but this program is so comprehensive I can’t compare it to the certification program for nursing assistants. The program provides a more detailed description of what senior care is really about. The training looks at the senior as a whole person. The program also presents detailed information and diagrams every CNA or home healthcare professional should have. At Home Care’s training program guarantees, each senior has the best care available. Thank you again.”
“I did not have a lot of formal [education] as a caregiver and the At Home Care’s training programs helped me to gain a better knowledge of what to expect as a caregiver and how to deal with certain situations. The instructional material was interesting and I think that it has given me more confidence as a caregiver.”
“The training program has taught me to be a more well-rounded caregiver. Instead of just being proficient at meeting the clients’ physical needs, I now feel more prepared to meet their nutritional, social, emotional and spiritual needs, as well.”

Q: Do you offer a flexible work schedule?
A: Yes and No. We assign our caregiver shifts during the times our caregivers tell US they are available to work. However, we ask that our caregivers maintain the same availability for at least 90 days at a time. Our caregivers work schedule is flexible around the other obligations and commitments in their lives, but they must maintain the times they have reported they are available to work for us. We also have a system for our caregivers to request off time during their “availability”, for the occasional events they may have in their lives. We believe one of the biggest benefits to working for our agency is that we allow our caregivers to set their own schedules!
Q: Do you require a CNA or other licensing credentials?
A: No, we do not require any credentialing due to the fact that we are strictly providing non-medical care to our clients. Most of our caregivers do have credentialing however, coming from working in a residential care environment. Almost all caregivers with this type of experience are seeking similar care experience, but on a one-on-one setting.
Q: Can I work another job or go to school and be a caregiver at the same time?
A: Absolutely! This is where you have the “flexibility” to set your own availability to work. Many of our current caregivers have full or part time jobs and/or they are attending school all at the same time! Our clients have all sorts of needs and times of days they need service!
Q: Do you pay overtime?
A: No, wage and hour overtime regulations do not apply in our industry.
Q: Do you require caregivers to wear scrubs?
A: We require our company uniform tops and name tags (provided at our expense) to be worn at all time while on duty. We prohibit even wearing scrub bottoms! We do not want to imply in any way that we provide medical services.
